Scripture
† March 7th to March 13th
Third Sunday in Lent
When the Lord saw him coming over to look at it more closely, God called out to him from the bush, "Moses! Moses!" He answered, "Here I am." God said, "Come no nearer! Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground. . ." (Ex 3:4-6)

Today, the Lord says to us: "Come nearer." When we enter the desert of our hearts, that place where listening unveils God's love to us, we are on holy ground.
Removing the sandals from our feet signifies the grace of a humble, contrite heart.
Remove the sandals from your feet; draw nearer to your God of immeasurable mercy; hear the One who loves you with infinite passion say: "Come nearer."
"To be mistrustful of having been forgiven is an insult to God's fatherly heart." (From: The Hermitage Within)
Jesus, help me to forgive myself and to accept Your forgiveness.
